Yes I now have him marrying Barbara Birch in 1959 and then going on to have 2 sons.

i looked at births with mmn Sheward thinking Haffner could have been misspelt and not the other way round

explains the closed entry, although that could have been anyone living in the same house whose death hadnt been picked up

Leonard James Haffner was born in Worcestershire in 1893 and died in Kidderminster district. in 1971.
He married Elsie May Sheward born 1892, in 1928.

Where are they in the 1939 Register and what jobs did they do?
