According to a Public Family Tree on ancestry ..............

Their 5th child Frances Whales was born in Norfolk, 01 March 1835

The 6th child Susan Whales was born about 1838 in Vaughn, York Co, Ontario


so their emigration must have been between 1835 and 1837/1838


According to the 1831 Census, William was a Farmer, the family were Methodists

I was trying to find a census that said when they had emigrated to Canada.

Margaret ................ do you know if there are any passenger lists before 1838 for arrival in Canada? If so, where do you find them?

For William, I'm pretty sure it says 1841 and age 59.

no luck finding any record of any of the family that might include an immigration date

there are quite a few Wales-s in the Mersea area.
