Yes that's them thank you so much.We have presumed they married in Welshpool as most of their children were born and died there but it could have been anywhere, we can not find ann last name.Robert as you know ended up in Tasmania, married a London convict, had another string of children but was kicked by a bullock aged 54 and died instantly.A sad life all round.Thank you so much for your help.Chris

There is a small article in a newspaper to say that he was convicted of horse stealing. I expect you knew that already but I have mentioned it just in case.

Charlotte appears to have died almost at birth:

Charlotte Scott
Wales, Montgomeryshire, Parish Registers
Name Charlotte Scott
Event Type Burial
Event Date 18 Feb 1820
Event Place Welshpool, Montgomeryshire, Wales
Age 0
Birth Year (Estimated) 1820

And this may be a "replacement" Charlotte, but no parents' names are given , so I can't be sure:

Charlotte Scott
Wales, Montgomeryshire, Parish Registers
Name Charlotte Scott
Event Type Baptism
Event Date 22 Nov 1822
Event Place Welshpool, Montgomeryshire, Wales

I don't see any sign of a marriage for Robert in Welshpool, though. Or anywhere in Wales 1810-22.

ArgyllGran Report 24 Jul 2017 15:25

Robert Scott is a very common name, unfortunately, and the fact that he moved around doesn't help, as we don't know where to expect the marriage to have taken place.

There were six marriages between Robert Scotts and Anns in various places in Scotland 1810-22. None in East Lothian.

Is this child's birth the reason why you think he may have married in Welshpool?

Christening Date 15 Feb 1820

After the marriage of Robert Scott born East Lothian in 1794 but moved about, think his marriage could have been in Welshpool wifes name Ann. He was transported to Tasmania in 1822 leaving wife behind.Marrage date, wifes name missing link,if anyone could help please.
