	Lots of interesting stuff if you Google "Robert the Bruce descendants"! But seriously, it could take you years to trace the line, if it even exists, through all the generations . You'd have to track all the family trees of all the spouses of all the children in each generation (if working backwards from your son-in-law) - a life's work! 	A few weeks ago my son-in-law - forty years following the marriage to my daughter - casually said " my mothers family is related to Robert the Bruce ". Mothers maiden name being Smurthwaite. How do I follow the line back to Robert ? I would appreciate any help. He is a good husband,father and son-in-law, I would be delighted to be able to confirm for him a line back.
