On the 1939 register posted Reuben's details have been crossed through with a note - see Con Sheet (? continuation sheet) - but have no idea if that can be done or what it would say.

Mabel's surname is crossed through and Mead written above it and in the same hand there is an M in the margin. In most cases where the name has been changed due to marriage there is also a date written of when the register was altered.

There are no closed records with them.

Perhaps Mabel was never a Lomas and either reverted at some point to a maiden name or married under a maiden name to Mead??

I haven't seen a marriage Mabel to a Reuben Lomas pre 1939 or of a Mabel to a Mead post 1939
