(is this Jemima on above query?, from google search)

Chris :)

(from above query)

I am the great grandson of Jemima Craycraft mentioned in your post.

I have found that a John and Charlotte Craycraft had three children - Susan, Emily and Jemima - christened on 10 July 1864 at the Church of Holy Trinity, Margate.

The family story is that Jemima, and as we now know two other siblings, were placed in the workhouse on the parents' death, whilst other children were placed with relatives.

A note posted on a tree on Ancestry...........

Birth Cert shows unknown father.... on census for 1901 she was shown as niece of frederick james craycraft and sarah ann who raised her.... on wedding cert frederick is shown as her father

(If that is true, then purchasing a copy of Isabel's marriage cert wont help!)

With this birth.......

Isabella Craycraft in the England & Wales, Civil Registration Birth Index, 1837-1915
Name: Isabella Craycraft
Registration Year: 1883
Registration Quarter: Oct-Nov-Dec
Registration district: Thanet
Inferred County: Kent
Volume: 2a
Page: 893

I would purchase a copy of the above Birth Certificate to see exactly what date of birth it gives and for information on the Mother.

There does not appear to be an Isabella Craycraft showing on any census records.

No death's or marriage's either.
