Sorry to hear your father's cancer has spread. It might be an idea to include a letter to that effect when you send for the military records.
They can often taken a number of months to arrive, but the MOD might fast track your application if there's a narrowing 'window'.

Thanks, Mel - I won't bother submitting a correction to Ancestry, as they already have the right person in the other records they suggest for her - birth, death, and 1901 census.

ArgyllGran It is Dorothy Richardson as it says his next of kin is Dorothy Cowe.

Hi
I need to order my grandads death cert so I can order his army records for my dad. I thought it would be a nice gift after he was told his cancer has spread.
I know this type of look up is easy for most but i have done any family tree stuff for a long time I've forgot where to go and what to do.

His name is john george Cowe d.1983 I believe.he died in devon.

Could you also give a link on where I would order the cert from please. Thank you
