Hi Chris

He was born 1848 Kentish Town.

I thought afterwards that maybe he returned to the UK as his mother Fanny Rammell died in 1880 and then he went back.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for that. I am a bit confused though as I had found that he sailed to Victoria in 1881 on board Sobraon. He must have gone and come back again. I disn't have his occupation as sugar Refiner. That's sounds better that labourer as he was described later on in 1903/4!

Thanks again

Gillian

Hi All

Thanks very much for the info.

I don't know if the fare dodger or the one who had an accident with the bike was my James! I have little info about him since he emigrated to Australia in circa 1881.

Hi is the son of Gibon Bushell Rammell. That is the correct marriage of James' father to Fanny Collard.I have more info about the Rammell family in England but not Australia.

thanks again
Gillian
