Could anyone confirm that my ancestor John Thompson born 1833 in Egton with Newland married an Elizabeth Watson please? I'm off to County Durham soon and would like to do some churchyard searches but I'd like to be sure I'm on the right track.

Could you tell us please how does the how you have traced back to John Thompson from Lancashire?

Who are your ancestors going back through the direct line?

Do you have these people on any census, if so can you please post the details for reference?

Where does the Durham area come in?

We cannot find you any 'proof' unless we have all the info which you know to be fact.
