Member Since: May 2006 Posts: 9 Send Message	I am hoping that someone may know the parents of James Apted Attree born in Crawley on 5th December 1779. I suspect that he was an illegitimate son. He married Sarah Risbridge in 1801 and they had a son, John, born 1810. I am guessing "Apted" may be some clue as to the father. I also have an incling that James's grandfather may have been a Jessie Attree of Street, Sussex, b) c.1688 and who's wife was Elizabeth Shoulder b) 1692. I am somewhat stumped. So if anyone can point me towards either the mother or father of James Apted Attree, I would be most grateful. Thank you.
