I've just added he info to them on the family tree so now it can't go missing lol

Ah thank you so much for reminding me of his war record...I do have it.
Sad to think he was profoundly deaf had a hernia and still either signed up or was called up....received another hernia and was discharged quite quickly!

I never knew my grandparents or any other relatives of my dads so it's good to find out anything about them.
I do have both their families going back to the 1841 census....births marriages and deaths..

Thank you so much for your help it's very much appreciated

Thank you Nyx

The Francis Logan with mother Maguire Blackburn 1912 isn't the same family
Apparently the forenames are different according to the register office there.

They lost so many babies, it's truly sad

They lost two who were born 1916 and 1918 I think it was
Michael and Mary Frances. They died as youngsters.

My mum and dad married Christmas Day too in 1929

Was quite a usual thing as men often worked mon - sat and no annual paid holidays

Christmas Day being a holiday was a popular day to marry

Yes times were far harder those days though I didn't realise it was still happening into the late twenties and possibly up to after the war!

I know some work a 6 day week even today but at least there's the luxury of household gadgets etc to help.

A Christmas wedding sounds lovely today not a necessity like it was back then.
