It's unusual not to be given the witnesses names on a transcription. If they have the same surnames as the bride or groom, it could be a clue.

In 1802 it wasn't usual to record father's names on marriage records. You would need to look for either James's or Elizabeth's baptism records for parents names.

Many Thanks for the info.

I now at least have an actual marriage date. I was Hoping to possibly find the fathers name of either James or Elizabeth so I could trace them. Would i Be correct in saying the only way I would find this info is to look at the actual parish register.

I have found the marriage banns for a James Harris and Elizabeth Parker published at Limpenhoe in Apr/May 1802 but am unable to find the actual marriage record for them. is anybody able to help locate it please.
