Mysterious death - dead body of George Patchett 63 of 59 Queen St, South Bank found floating in Tees near Blue House Point Stockton by a boatman on Saturday. Deceased paid visit to a married daughter in Stockton November last and started to return home on 19th but had not been seen or heard of since. Coroner held inquest on Saturday night when verdict returned "found drowned in Tees"

Edinburgh Evening News 1 June 1880

Unhappy commencement of a Honeymoon - Yesterday at the Stockton police court, a man named Thomas PAtchett was charged with being drunk and disorderly. The defendant got married on Saturday and indulge too freely in drink at the marriage festivities. In the evening he created a disturbance and was taken to the police office. The bride pleaded hard for his liberty. He was fined 5s and costs.

Also a snippet in Middlesborough Daily Gazette 31 May - his name included in a long list of D&D in court that day.
