You are welcome Wendy - you are such a help on here finding things for others so you deserve them !

Anyway, I rarely use that site and I had bought a few to look up something ages ago - I probably would never have used them anyway !

Hi Margaret,

Yes it is Stephen was born 1846 Calais France so born before Samuel died and Sarah had him christened 1848 not saying that Samuel was deceased. Sarah was back in Nottingham by 1850 and had a son William born 1850 and then she married John Knowles in 1852. Samuel and Sarah also had a daughter Eliza born 1837 in Stapleford Nottingham and went to France sometime between 1841 and 1846 and I don't know if there was any more children born to them between Eliza and Stephen. All 3 children are with Sarah on 1851 census.

Edit: just found William's christening 9 Feb 1851 Beeston, Nottingham and Sarah is down as a Widow

On the BMDRegisters site, you can buy 10 credits for £5.

To view the full details of Samuel's burial record will cost you 5 credits.
If you want to see the actual image of the original document, that will be another 5 credits.
