It looks reasonable to assume that he did go abroad, and then lived and died in some country whose records are not covered by Ancestry, FMP, etc.
Or where ralatively recent records such as his death, are not available online.

I am pretty sure that Tom and Alice never divorced (?) so if he did marry again he was potentially a bigamist.
Tom and Alice's daughter knows almost nothing about her father.
interesting to read of his occupation in 1939 - different from what I had previously understood.

that Thomas travelling to New York is a bank accountant, travelling with Rebecca Fairweather, Both give address as Redland Road, Bristol.

The same couple also travel between Argentina and England several times- According to passenger records that Thomas was born 24 August 1907- which, if correct, does not fit with the birth date of the TOM we are looking for.

there is a Thomas fairweather born 1907 immigrating but I cant find a birth for 1907 for him

Seems that Tom likely separated from Alice before her death as she appears on the electoral register with her parents from 1945.

There appears to be a daughter to Tom and Alice who married Mr Coulson. What information does she have about them?
