I think the other witness might be Mary BROOKHOUSE?

Dea

Dea Report 1 Oct 2017 09:21

I see my problem now..................

I was looking under this:

All Derbyshire, England, Select Church of England Parish Registers, 1538-1910 results for Hannah Pass

when I should have been looking under this:

All Derbyshire, England, Church of England Marriages and Banns, 1754-1932 results for John Wallis

Too many flipin' church records !! ;-) :-D

Anyway, found it now - could Mary's name be something like Cullshaw or Collishaw ??

I definitely think it has 'shaw' or 'sham' at the end.

Hi Gins,

Yes you could be right I just zoomed right in and it does look like the last part is house, I have not come across a Mary Brookhouse but will keep an eye open for her.

Hannah died 1848 in Stapleford Nottingham and looks like John remarried in 1851 i Stapleford so next need to get that marriage from Nottingham Archives this week.

Again Thank you so much for all your help.

Wendy.

Keep yer knickers on Dea ;-)

It's defo a 'C' for the start of Mary' surname so you might be right. You're good at reading ancient writing as you were around at the time!!!!
