I am looking for marriage &/or death of Eleanor Davidson b 1820 in Oulton/Wigton area of Cumberland.

She is on 1841 Census with family (HO107 Piece 166, Folio 4, page 2)

Just had a look, and Jane Hubbs is mis-spelt. It is actually Stubbs and is her niece, so fits it nicely!!

but is he on 1841? Any idea what his other nmaes are?

I think that the John on 1841 Census died, because he is not on 1851, whilst John J F on 1851 has different age/year of birth.

Can't see why they would have 2 sons both called John?

I have looked at the 1851 again, and his age just doesn't tally with the 'other' John, who therefore must have died. Hope this makes sense!

Names of deceased children where often reused with later births. I have several in my tree. I can't see a birth record or later census records at the moment.
