Joseph and Thomas Ernest Taylor

Robert Report 7 Oct 2017 15:09

My Great Grandmother, Maggie Nelson married George Taylor on 22nd Oct 1885 in Bangor, Co. Down, N. Ireland. They had three children - Jane Taylor (my grandmother), Joseph Taylor 20 Dec 1890 and Thomas Ernest Taylor 16 Oct 1893.
By 1893, George, who was born around 1863 in Worcester had returned to England (Workington). By 1901 he had taken the two boys with him as they are not in the Irish Census and I have found them in the 1901 English Census as follows:

George Taylor (38) Labourer born Worcester and
Joseph Taylor (11) Scholar born Ireland.
Both are living at 2 Old Side Workington

Thomas Taylor (7) scholar is living with Matilda Taylor at 43 Hawksworth Road, Hallam, Bierlow, Yorkshire.

I would like to know if anyone has either of the Taylor brothers in their family trees.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Welcome to the boards, Robert.

To find out if anyone has them in their trees, go to "Search" at the top of this page, then "Search All Member Trees"

Search for their names (sometimes less is more), and if there are any matching results, click on "Find out more" beside the tree owner's name, and send them a message, explaining your relationship briefly.

You won't necessarily get a quick reply - or any reply at all.

Have patience - and good luck!

It's highly unlikely that anyone relevant to your enquiry will just happen upon your post here - you'll have to be proactive as described above.

If there's anything in particular you would like help with re your tree, please let us (the helpers) know, and we'll do our best.
