Thank you all for your input on this.

From what you have posted, it does look more likely that the name is Hatton and not Hutton, although I have no idea how I will work out if a) this is correct, and b) which of the Hatton contenders is the right one!

All thoughts and ideas welcome!

Can you help?

I am trying to find out any information I can on a William Thornton, born c1760 who lived in Worcester. William was twice married, first to an Elizabeth (born c1760 / died 1795) and then to Ann Hutton (born c.1788). William and Ann were married in Claines, Worcestershire in 1796.
