Just also noticed in 1871 census ( Mary ) Bridgett Powell ( Stanley ?!!) was born in Birmingham ?! Not stoke on trent

Oh I see yes she should be scandlin still such a confusing mis spelt name across all the births and censuses etc Stanley scandlin etc etc etc

but we don't actually know Margaret's surname? as noted that Tomlin is just a mistranscription on the the 1871 census

I can't see a marriage for Michael in Dublin, using https://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/

James Powell is Mary Bridgett Scandin or stanleys whatever it is ( husband) I'm trying to work back now via Micheal Stanley & Bridgett tomlin who are poss from Dublin
