Thanks safc, but don't think that is my girl as she appeared on 1851 census aged 1 - also there appear to be other Jones/Mathews births in that reg district that don't appear to match the children on the census records?

I will always stand corrected though!

My great grandmother Naomi Jones appeared on the 1851 census with parents Edward (c1806) and Elizabeth (c1812) living Llandravon, Nantmel. She was also with parents 1861/71, but then married Thomas Morgan in November 1871 (I don't have a copy of the marriage cert). Subsequently I have her on all census to 1911, and I believe she died in 1936.

My grandmother (Naomi's daughter) was Lucy Morgan (married name Skeels) (1871 - 1945) and I know about her life - in 1881 she was with Edward & Elizabeth Jones, recorded as their granddaughter.

I can't find a birth reg for Naomi to ascertain her mothers maiden name, can anyone find her birth please so I can get at her mmn. Nor can I find her husband Thomas Morgan, born Llandewy, Radnor c1845 according to the census records, so haven't been able to work back from him. Realise I may need the MC, but chances are even having a fathers name may not help much!

Too many Morgans and Jones's in Wales.

Any help much appreciated!
