1891 census on Ancestry has her mis-transcribed as Ann Tones. It says born Westham, Wales. The original looks more like Wrestham but I can't find any such place, could it be Wrexham?

ArgyllGran Report 3 Nov 2017 15:52

Ancestry's transcription of the 1891 census says her birthplace was Westham, Wales.

I think it says Wrexham.

In 1881, I think it might say North Wales ???

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 3 Nov 2017 15:52

I think the 81 census says North Wales for place of birth.

martynsue

martynsue Report 3 Nov 2017 15:55

well Wrexham is in north wales so maybe I should start there, why did she put Caernarvonshire on the 1901 census,

Rambling

Rambling Report 3 Nov 2017 15:58

I agree on Wrexham.

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 3 Nov 2017 16:43

Place of birth on the 1901 census on Ancestry has been transcribed as Cornwood but original says Carnavon.
