Given that Charles was older than Emma, I wonder if it was Charles that had already been married?

Reason I couldn't find them in 1911 on Ancestry:
Surname is transcribed as Coopes.

Oh, you beat me to it Safc- just found it too. Well done

Found Charles on the electoral registers in Catford and used that as my search.

1914 Charles was at 14 Lower Winchester Road, Catford,

He and Dorothy are later (1917) listed at 17 Davenport Road with Thomas & Margaret Uwins

There's another Cooper daughter with mother's maiden name Uwins born 1928 Lewisham.

Are you sure that her name isn't Uwins rather than Unwins? It's spelled that way on her birth record and also on daughter Beatrice's birth record.

Charles and Emma had 3 children -

Dorothy Marjorie 1910 Lewisham
Joan Esther 1913 Lewisham
Beatrice Mabel 5/11/1915 Lewisham

My problem is 1) I cannot find the family in 1911.
2) I cannot identify Charles without 1911 or marriage
3) I cannot find any record of a marriage

Any help would be appreciated
