I have drawn a complete blank trying to find a Philip Hyde b about 1789/1791 Staffordshire On the 1841 census he was aged 50 he died in 1842 and his age given is 53 a 2 year difference I have searched all records I can think of but cannot find him on his death cert he was living in Highfields Staffordshire Most of Hyde's came from Coseley/Sedgley/ Bilston and Tipton areas is it possible he may be from another county?

The 1841 census indicates that he was born in Staffordshire (not always accurate).

If he accurately knew his age and the 1841 census shows him as aged 50, he could actually have been aged 50 - 54 as the age was supposed to be rounded down to the nearest 5 for anyone over the age of 15 (1841 census only). So born c1787-1791

I also have Hydes in my ancestry, most of whom came from the Wednesfield area of Staffordshire. They did however originate in Powick, Worcester, so maybe yours came from a different county as well.
