Am looking for a marriage c1900 to a lady called Malinda - surname unknown!!

1901 Census living at 23 Lucker Street, Lemington, Tyneside
Have child Edwin 3 months old.

1911 Census living at 61, Beaumont Terrace, Westerhope, Northumberland
Children - Eleanor Margaret 9, Gladys 3, William 1. Children all born in Northumberland.

1911 Census states that they have been married 11 years, but cannot find their marriage anywhere!!

Not seeing a marriage in Scotland

It is possible that they did not marry at all, but lived common law.

One possible reason is that one or both was already married

Melinda is with her married sister on the 1891 census

Another possibility is that Robert was a Miner, and they could have lived in remote places where there was no vicar, so they may just not have bothered!
