Thank you for your reply - she wasn't foreign and she was old enough to vote but your point about perhaps only using the address for a short time may well be true and I think probably the best explanation as to why she is not listed Thank you I hadn't thought of that.

Full emancipation for women aged 21 or over did not come into effect until 1928.
Married women were, with some qualification, allowed to vote from 1918.

If she were foreign born of foreign parents, she wouldn’t have been permitted to vote. The exception being if she was married to a British husband as she’d take his nationality.

Have you checked the Electoral Roll for the addresses you know she lived at? If the years & address is not shown on Ancestry, you might have to approach the closest archive or Library with a local studies centre.
Perhaps she was only there for a limited time & didn’t include herself on the Register. No doubt then, as now, some people ignored the forms.

I cannot find any reference on Ancestry to the person at the address I know she lived in at a particular time so that's a dead end. She could well have had another child between the years I quoted, but I have no idea of name or sex of child and her name is a common one so it is making it very difficult to do a trace.

Are you aware if they had any children during that period?
Birth and Baptism records can be helpful.

As far as the occupants of the particular house are concerned, you'd need to look at the relevant electoral roll for that year.

Ask at the main local library of the town where the house is, if they have it, or can tell you where the ER is kept.

A few ER's for that period are online - mainly London.
On Ancestry you can search by address.

Is it possible to find any records online to be able to trace someone's movements between the above dates? i.e. where they lived? Or at least which town they lived in? Also, is it possible to find out the occupants of a particular house in 1932 any way?
