It isn't mine my John was a shoemaker and possibly discharged abt 1815 as on his daughters birth in 1816 he was a shoemaker not a soldier

Hi Has anyone got membership to Fold3 Chelsea Pensioners I've found a Private John McAlpine enlisted age 22 discharge age 45 date of birth abt 1785 enlisted 1807 discharged 1826 he was in the 75th foot reg This was on ancestry

He possibly isn't my John but I have to try

I was wondering if the record would tell me any more about him
