According to the Lancashire BMD Jane Redman Married Robert Nash at St. John the
Evangelist Lancaster in 1899.

I must have got the wrong Jane Redman as according to the 1901 she was still single and still living in Yorkshire..

Thank you for your help. Much appreciated.

Has anyone got the time to look up the 1901 census to find Jane Redman married to John Nash and probably living in Lancaster as that’s where they married in 1899.
Thank you

PatW

PatW Report 19 Feb 2018 20:26

i think that Jane Redman born 1880 returned to Lancaster from Yorkshire to marry John Nash in 1899.
Is it possible for someone to find them on the 1901 census. Maybe the family returned to join James Redman husband of Eliza.

I might have found Mary A born in 1877 but I think she’s listed as Redmayne and Lancashire BMD say her mother was nee Nicol. Also I wonder why James isn’t on the census.

PatW

PatW Report 19 Feb 2018 18:30

Thank you for that but I’m still confused as according to Lancashire BMD the mother of Margaret born 1878 was Lamb not Wilding. Maybe she was a relative and only visiting. I can’t find a marriage between a Redman and Lamb. Also in Lancashire BMD Mary A Redman born 1877 isn’t listed.

I would be greatful if someone would look at the 1881 census for the above. Jane was born in Ellil Lancaster area in 1880. Her mother is listed as nee Wilden but should read Wilding. Her parents are James Redman and Eliza nee Wilding and they married in 1876. Lancaster. I think her mother was born in 1850 but not sure about her father.
Thank you
