Hello, I am trying to help my sister in law with her paternal side. She did not know her father Edward as he died when she was 6 months old, but she did know some of her Aunts and Uncles.
Edward was born April 1915 and died April 1943 and was supposed to have been born in Stockport. She remembered Uncles Jack and Sam and Aunt Sarah and possible Lily which I have found, plus others, all with mmn of Williamson. Edward's marriage cert. states father Samuel and there is a marriage between a Samuel and Alice Williamson 1895 Heaton Norris Stockport.
The problem is the only Edward I can find has a mmn of Spencer. Edward was not the youngest child so no second wife for Samuel. The regn. for this Edward matches date wise and is in Stockport. Have looked all counties for an Edward with mmn Wiliamson but no luck.
Any suggestions ?
