Yes that is my family. I am really trying to find out where the family originated from.

I cannot find Jonathan with his Dad.Joseph. I got his name from Jonathan's marriage cert. I can find him with a Joseph and Martha on the 1841 but i am not convinced these two are Jonathan's brother and sister.

There is a Joseph Rushworth and Ann Holmes who had a Martha 1813 and Joseph 1819 but I cant find a Jonathan with a father called Joseph. I was hoping to get a clue from where Jonathan has been living to narrow down the search for Joseph. But I am not having much luck at the moment

Possible in 1861? Surname not quite right but he's a cloth dresser. Next door is a Joseph Rushforth, 72, cloth dresser and wife Leah. 82.

Joseph & Leah's marriage after Jonathon's birth. Perhaps he was actually Rushforth and not Rushworth?

Edit: Another record of this marriage with original says that Leah is a widow.

The only baptism for Jonathan with a father Joseph in West Yorks on Ancestry is in Huddersfield in 1817 - far too early and he was consistent in saying he was born Leeds (or Gildersome as per 1851)

Who witnessed his marriage to Elizabeth? Any clues there?
