Thank you Argyll Gran the problem with the Waites in this generation is that everyone had nicknames Louisa was called "Lady", Mary Jane was "Poll" one of the boys was nicknamed Joe and one Nin so trying to sort out names has been a task. Will have to look into this, I agree with what you say as I couldn't find anyone else that fits will try and do some more research on this many thanks.

In spite of the different POB's for Louisa, I don't see any other marriage of an Edward Skinner to a Louisa Waite, and the 1911 census posted above does say they had been married for 21 years, which is pretty close to your Louisa's marriage in 1889.

Also, following the "mother-in-law" Jane Waite back through earlier censuses, there's no sign of a daughter Louisa.

Yes there is - in 1871 a child transcribed as Comer is actually Louise on the image.

Thanks for the info on Louisa Skinner had come across the above in my research but because of he wrong mothers name and Leicesteshire place of birth had decided it was wrong. 192.com shows that the couple were living in Droitwich 2002-7. The wife is actually listed there until 2009, but her husband probably opted out of the public ER after 2007.
