Note that Traveller could also mean Travelling Salesman, a very common occupation .........

........I don't believe Traveller was used back then for gypsies.

Just a couple of questions.
I was wondering are travellers listed on census lists.?
And, as i have never had the need before, are there any tips in looking for travellers.
Many thanks

Hi,
On a marriage cert, (on Ancestry) Bride Christiana HASTINGS, Bridegroom William BELL
Sept 1858 in Taunton. The father of the bride is Frederick Hastings, Traveller.??
Could someone check that info correct please.

William died and Christiana married again in Newcastle to a William Carr LILBURN, Dec 1870 under the name Christiana Hastings BELL. But her father is listed as a CHARLES.??
I have sent for the 2nd wedding cert today as I can't see the cert, just the info.
on Ancestry.

If Frederick was a traveller are there any good sites to find info.?
Thank you
Sally
