Could the above be the same person? James entered the army and in 1871 the army was being transferred from one country to another?

Would probably be on overseas deaths on FMP

My grandad died at sea in 1907 and that's where I found the ref to order a death cert

As James died at sea would they register his death at the nearest port? Found a death reg for a 25 year old in Liverpool.

Change of mind, the 1871 buriel is of his father James Williams 1801-1871 so the sea death could be James junior.

Do not think its the James that died at sea is my James, death dates to not tally and the family were farmers and never moved from the area although there is always the first time.

Thanks Maddie and Shirley

So he went to sea, sad only 25 when he died. Will order a certificate, do not think the death reg for James is correct Shirley, gives James age as 71.

Just out of interest all the children were baptised but not registered
, father was a farmer maybe to busy.

James Williams born 1845 Olveston. Parents James and Mary Williams. Siblings
Joseph 1843-1906
Mark 1847-1854
Henry 1848-1907
Enoch 1851-1851

Mary Ann 1854-1892
Mark 1856-1879
Edward 1858-1893
Eliza 1861-1933

Looking for what happened to James after 1861 when age 17 he is living with his parents.

Thought I had found a death for James in 1907 Cheltenham, but since have discovered there is another James Williams who was born in Cheltenham so more likely to be him.

Any help would be appreciated
