I have a John McAlpine born 7/5/ 1831 Linlithgow West Lothian Scotland I have him until 1881 in Northumberland where his wife Margaret died after that nothing But some one has that he died 24 Feb 1914 in Toronto is their any way of checking this death to see if it gives any info on family please

Ancestry website does seem to think he's the same John - it brings up the relevant census records for your John.
(But you can't rely on that!)

Thank you for that My John was a labourer in 1881? and his wife was Margaret who died in 1885 as far as I know he didn't have a grace in his family unless he married again but I don't think he would have been a minister ??
