The marriage that Erika has posted above would be Brenda's parent's marriage so therefore they would be your great grandparents.

Welcome to the boards Georgia.

The only likely birth I can see in Halifax for a Brenda Chapman is in 1941. Her mother's maiden name is McPartland.

She appears to have a brother Frank born in 1937 and a sister Shirley (not Sylvia) born in 1936.

Not sure if this is the family you are looking for.

Her marriage cert will tell you how old she was, and her father's name, if she knew it.

Married in 1960, born no later then 1944, and if she was in the Army, add two years, so 1941/2 at the latest.

I am trying to find a lady called ‘Brenda chapman’ she would be my grandma who I have never met. This is the information I have for her if anyone could help that would be great
Brenda Chapman
Born in Halifax. Could be anytime between 1930-1944
Lived in Gloucester at last known time some years ago
Marred - Frank Logan Marshall in 1960 woolwich
They met whilst they were both in the army.
4 children - Denise Marshall (died at 18 days old) Lynn Marshall, Paul Marshall, David Marshall.
She has a sister called Sylvia, who at the time was married to a Mr Smith...possible first name is Bill but unsure.
Also had a brother who was in the arm but his name is unknown.
She could of possibly married a man with the surname Coates. Unsure

All I know is that she married my Granda and had children with him (as above) but I’ve been told she had an affair and moved away down south but took her children with her, to then the oldest child (Lynn) wrote a letter to my Granda with their address asking to be picked up. My Granda went and collected the children and barely had any contact with Brenda after that. This is what I’ve been told.

I’m sorry the information isn’t much to go on but it’s all I have. I’m grateful for any help no matter how big or small! :-)
