Probably not in view of malyon's find. - and he's also born 1835, not 1836 (though 27 April 1836 is the baptism date on the image of the register, so he could have been born a while earlier?)

that death could be william as he is not in the 1841 census

Kucinta- I don't think the William R Ball in Stoke Damerel is the correct one as there is another baptism in 1835 Stoke Damerel for another William Robert Ball.

I think that burial is likely. Can you see the original entry?

Hi AustinQ, on the register it's written 1 yr 4 mths

with the 1 yr written with the 4mths underneath, both clearly in the same 'box' on the register.

Off out for most of the day now.

I don't see any other baptism in Exeter, for the William Ball who died in Sept 1836.

I think the burial record is the correct one as Susannah is living at Exe Street on the 1841 census and on the burial record it gives the abode as Exe Lane.

The Lane has probably been upgraded to a Street by 1841.
