These all had a father William a cottager.

John,1761,
Robert 1759,
Thomas 1757.
Ann 1765---buried 1772,
Edward 1763,
William 1753.
Elizabeth 1755.

of course not counting any unborn or still births ,,,,births could tie with a 1750 marriage.

Thank you yet again Kay, its confusing with so many different spellings of the surname
and I'm finding a lot of repetition in the forenames within this family too. I thought that with the unusual surname it would make it easier .... no - just more interesting!

Thanks Kay, so Williams father was also a William . Thats a good possibility, makes sense doesn't it but makes it harder when we are trying to find people. thank you again

mothers names were very seldom included unless of an importent family for inheritance purposes,

the registers are not written in uniform lines and biro but with then a quill and ink.

The BT trans could say....son of William --cottager.--cottags.


Elizabeth was bapt 1755 amongest other children of William,mainly sons,,,,so named after her mother.??

Has anyone got access to Parish Records please. I am trying to find the parents of William Eskriett ( various spellings ) born in Bainton, East Riding, Yorkshire in 1753 Thank you
