I am told THE dad Robert
They were from the Dumfries Stranrear areas

You will need to look for the record on Scotland ‘s People website

It isn’t a subs site, but you can do a free search, which is all anyone else would do

Bit sensationalist Pauline, not something I'd want highlighting about my family.

The marriage shows on SP's index. If you wish more details than the year, names and RD, you'll have to buy the certificate.

You can also look for births on SP but the mmn isn't shown to identify for certain.

In any case, without knowing the sister's name (including married surname, if any), and roughly when the crime was committed, it would be virtually impossible to find a newspaper report.
