Morning Helpers.

Thank you so much for your overnight & earlier efforts.

As Charles Pay remarried, it more or less confirms that the Milton death for Ellen Pay is Ellen Chapman. I’ll certainly add his death but not the additional wife etc.

Thank you also for digging around for the Spencer Lewis from the passenger list. It’s good to be able to rule that one out. May be, one day, the correct one will pop out of the woodwork!

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 13 Nov 2018 12:39

George Spencer Lewis from Detroit is definitely ruled out, but -

don't rule out the Spencer Lewis who travelled with the Fieldman family, Det.

We can't tell if he's the right one or not.

What do you think???

London, England, Electoral Registers, 1832-1965
Spencer George Lewis
Year: 1931
County or Borough: Newham
Ward or Division/Constituency: Woolwich
Street address: 11 Brookhill Road

Other names listed
Edser, Charles Leonard
Edser, Amelia Mercy
Burgess, Frank
Roberts, Violet May
Petre, Mercy Enid

None of the other names seem familiar. It could be a lodging house?

I've checked the address in 1939 Register. Only Charles L Edser is still there. The rest all have different surnames. He's been widowed, with an occupation of Fitter, Engineering.

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 13 Nov 2018 19:17

Looks good, Det!

Yes,seems to be the Edsers' house, and they had some lodgers.

And then in 1932 he (maybe) went to Portugal .
