Strange, but none of the children show up under the surames Lewis or Pay after their birth registrations or the 1911 Census

If that is Ellen's death, then it means that she died not long after Leslie was born ...... I

If it is Ellen, I wonder what happened to the children? Could they have gone to Dr Barnardo's or been Home Children, or adopted?????

Sorry - missed the possible death for Ellen Pay in Milton.

Milton is part of Sittingbourne,Kent & isn't that far away from Sheerness, Isle of Sheppey.

Halfway cemetery records are also online. From memory, some of them were damaged in a flood/water leak and have 'run'. It's ages since I've looked at the Sheppey branch.

I found an Ellen Pay died 1911 registered Milton, age 38

bit don't know Kent enough to know if the district is a possible

Trying to tie up a few loose ends - as she's a 1st cousin, 3 times removed, certificates won't be purchased.

She was born in Minster, Sheppey, Kent birth reg 4Q 1873.

I have her with her parents, father Michael & mother Mary (nee Banner) up to 1891, & possibly 1901 as a servant in Surrey.

After that, there's a possibility of a marriage on Sheppey
