Thanks for your replies. I have received my original birth certificate and mother's address was given as 14 Railway Street, hoped the family might have been there in 1939. I am going to Edinburgh for adoption file so may get more information. As mother could still be alive will not post too much information as I believe she was very young at time of birth.

If your mum gave birth in 1939 then she would have been born in the early twenties or earlier so it's most likely she is deceased by now

Thank you for replies. I was born 1943 think her date of birth would be about 1928.
I only posted on the off chance if that address was the family home they might have been there in 1939. May come back for help when I see the records. Thanks again
