Hi,

I'm at a dead end with this search i'm doing and i'm hoping someone can help.

There was a Margaret Casson born approx 1948 in Wallasey.

She had a child in 1963-65 and the child was put up for adoption and then I am told she married and her surname changed to "Calgue or Clague" and then she passed away approx 1981 in Preston, Lancashire.

I am just wondering if anyone can find info to back this up? I've looked for newpapers/obituaries etc and I can not find her anywhere!

There are only 4 births for a Casson with mother's maiden name Casson between 1963-1965. In Bristol, Chester, Brighton, and Huddersfield.

2 Clague births with mother's maiden name Casson on FreeBMD.

Do you happen to know if Brian is alive? And also, ive seen the death of Margaret on freeBMD but i wanted to know if there was anything else to prove its a match? She committed suicide so i thought her obituary might have been in the papers etc.

I don't see the marriage Malyon mentions.

There's one in 1981 in Preston & South Ribble reg ditrict - his name includes his middle initial.

does that mean she died on the 24th of June?

Re the death record -
her birth date was 24th June 1948.
She died in the Jan/Feb/March quarter of 1981.
You'd need to buy the cert to find out her exact date of death.


Two Clague births with mms Casson -

one in 1971 in the Wirral reg district; the other in 1973 in west Cheshire reg district.

And that's your Margaret, with middle name Clare.

how can i be sure that Margarets parents are William and Margaret? sorry, confused! i'm new to this and i don't want to get the info wrong! :( haha. All i know is that my margaret died young, so she was born in 1948 and died approx 1980. x

The marriage certificate to Mr Clague should give her fathers name so that can be matched with one of the two marriage.1937 &1946.
