Hi,

I am a little bit of a loss in how to pursue this one. We are trying to find out what happened to my husbands great aunt - Joyce Irene Turner, born 14/07/1930 Small Heath, Birmingham. We know that Joyce had three children out of wedlock- 2 with the surname Hawkins (John - reg. 1945, Gwendoline- ref. 1948) 1 with the surname Jones (Ann M. reg. 1953). All registered in Birmingham. Joyce used the maiden surname as Hawkins on the laters birth certificate, although I can find no record of Joyce ever actually being married. Joyce appears to have been shunned by the family after the birth of Ann. Ann was raised by family members, however we have no knowledge of what happened to Joyce or the remaining children.

Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed with my search?

59 Redwood Road

She had lived there for 15 years

No-one else registered to vote at the address
