Hopefully that last record implies that Elizabeth might have been in contact with her mother and/or sister and followed them out to live in Canada.

Hi Sorry I didn't make it clear in my original post. My family are the Skaife's and Lily is down as a daughter, that is what's confused me. On birth cert her mother is Isabel Coulthard a dressmaker born Co Durham no father named
This is 1911 census for my family Robert Skaife Head Married Male 54 1857 Railway Goods Guard Darley Yorkshire Ann Skaife Wife Married Female 44 1867 - Witton Le Wear Durham John Robt Skaife Son Single Male 22 1889 Fitter Iron Works Middlesboro Ada Lavinia Skaife Daughter Single Female 18 1893 - Middlesboro Lily Coulthard Skaife Daughter Single Female 3 1908 - Middlesboro
So she can't be on this census at the same time can she ? On birth cert her mother is Isabel Coulthard a dressmaker born Co Durham no father named
1911 Census For England & Wales 34 Theodore St Newport Middlesbro, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire & Yorkshire (North Riding), England
Isabel Coulthard Head Widow Female 58 1853 Housekeeper Waskley County Durham Isabel Coulthard Daughter Single Female 33 1878 Dressmaker Shildon Durham Harry Adsluad Boarder Single Male 27 1884 Labourer Hulme Manchester

The Skaifes have obviously taken her in and refer to her as a daughter.
Not sure what you mean by your remark..........
So she can't be on this census at the same time can she ?
At the same time as ...........what?
Lily was Isabel's second illegitimate daughter, as has been shown above.
The mother eventually married, and Lily was recorded on the documents - again shown above
