This is the only John W. Girvan that I can find in the 1939 register. He says he is single but if Audrey married for a second time using her maiden name then they may have just split up and gone their separate ways because divorce was too expensive back then. :-

How do you know that JWG was born in Northern Ireland? Have you any proof?

I've looked at the IrishBMD site - no record of a birth for a John West Girvan

A previous thread on this man with a lot more information but we never did find out anything conclusive.
