Iris Elsie married in 1961. Surname Peter.

They're on the 2019 ER for Dundee. The property has not changed hands since then, per Zoopla.

Just spoken to Iris Elsie Peter her dad is William Peterson but mother is Margaret Tindall.

Also came across an email from 10 years ago saying Dolly is Iris's Mum.

Edit father William J Paterson mother Margaret Jane Creighton for the Iris I just spoke too.

Hmmm - back to the drawing board.

Just sent an email to a chap I was in contact with over ten years ago, waiting for a reply. I seem to remember he had lots of information on the Hurn family.

I'm convinced Dolly is Jane's daughter and Iris's mum.

I’ve spoken to a grandson of Jane Hurn nee Newlands, she did have a daughter Dolly, obviously this is a nick name. Also Jane had a daughter called Chrissie who had a son Neil. No married names for either. Chrissie is still with us living in Newmachar.

On your Ancestry tree you have her as dying unmarried in 1991 in Liverpool.
Other trees say the same, but will just have copied from each other.

I don't see a marriage for your Elizabeth to anyone in Scotland, nor to a William in England or Wales.

An Elizabeth Hurn married in London in 1951 - but to a Henryk, not a William.

Just sent a message to Gladys Paterson granddaughter just waiting confirmation on any more siblings.

The Elizabeth who married in 1951 in London had two children, born in London 1951 and 1956 - findable on FreeBMD.

Someone with the unusual name of the 1951 child is living in Aberdeenshhire per 2019 ER - coincidence?? But that's not the only person with that name.

The 1956 chiild married in London in 1979.

Just sent a picture to my g aunt and another name has popped up Hazel from Aberdeen possible relative of Jane Newlands Hurn.

Another development in contact with a Hurn in Canada daughter of George. She also said that’s aunt Dolly.

Got a feeling this could go on a while.

It's a pity none of these people who recognise her as Dolly know her real name!

Had it confirmed that Elizabeth Hurn did marry Henryk Nowak. Can someone please look up obituary on Ancesty for 2003.

I'm not seeing one for either Elizabeth or Henryk.
Nor the death of either of them in 2003.

Sounds as if it might be worth contacting the Nowak who is living in Aberdeenshire as mentioned earlier. Same name as their older child.
