Mary Ann Potter (also known as Mary Ann Walters)

Born 1889 ,she was the first child of Rose Hannah Potter. Last known in 1911 on census as a brass driller. Family migrated to Western AUSTRALIA 1913/14. Don't know if Mary Ann went with them. Joseph Potter first, but don't know the name of the vessel and then beginning 1914 Rose and family followed. Mary doesn't show on the passenger manifest in 1914. In 1918 Joseph died and Mary Ann was listed on death cert.as surviving family member along with all the other kids. In 1922 Rose Hannah Potter ( nee Morgan) died and 2 (two) females listed as deceased. Alice Bertha Potter died in 1892 , born in 1891. All other females of the family have been located and listed EXCEPT Mary ANN so it is accepted that she was the second female deceased. I can't (and others), find any trace of Mary. Did she migrate with Joseph ? Did she go elsewhere? She obviously kept in touch with her parents (for the family to have entered that she had died prior to 1922), until she passed away, but where. Is there anybody who can scan death, marriages and immigration lists in depth or have any idea as to where else to look for her ? I did see a Mary Ann listed on the same vessel as Joseph Potter but as I was looking for my grandfather I didn't take any notice of the name. They left London for Colombo and Fremantle. I'm unable to find anything on BDM here in Australia. Would appreciate any assistance that can be afforded. |
