TAYLOR, GEORGE ARTHUR (MMN) DAVIS
GRO Reference: 1910 J Quarter in ASTON Volume 06D Page 315

This would - possibly - support your theory about Arthur's parents' identities. BUT...........don't take it at face value - do the checks

Have you tried to PROVE the 1911 census by finding the child's birth and verifying MMN?

I've got who I think is Arthur on the 1911 census with his wife & so Arthur born 1910. He definitely didn't emigrate.

could he have immigrated

It could be - if she was mistaken about her birth year, and that's far from unusual.

The DoB of early November would fit with the baptism

You need to find Arthur in 1911 to compare occupations...............

Hi Erika,I have,what I think is the right one,with Arthur born in April 1885 & Margaret in November 1882 but I'm unsure if that's 100% correct ?

I'm seeking help for an elderly lady,a close family friend who I'm actually doing a Family Tree for as a Christmas present.

The lady in question, who I can't name here due to data protection, was born on Boxing Day,1946,in Birmingham. Her mother died on only 3 weeks later on January 15th 1947.Her name was Lilian (Lily) Congdon-nee Taylor. She was born in 1919 in Birmingham,to Arthur Taylor & Margaret Agnes (nee Davis). & was married to Douglas George Congdon.
Arthur & Margaret Agnes were married in June Q of 1909.
I have Margaret Agnes back to 1882 with parents John & Jane (nee Sharp),but am struggling a bit in ascertaining which John Davies born c1860,is which. There's a number born in same area at same time.I'm pretty sure I can solve that puzzle.
The main one I'm struggling with is Arthur Taylor.Today I've sent off for the marriage certificate, but it's highly unlikely it'll be here on time for me to get it finished.
I THINK his parents could well be George Taylor & Mary, but am unsure? I have the 1891 census with George,Mary A (?) & Arthur on.If it's the correct one & possibly Arthur on the 1901 census with possibly his sister(?) Rose Higgins.
I wouldn't normally ask for help as this isn't my own tree I'm doing, but If allowed to be posted, any help would be much appreciated.THANK YOU.
