I have listed all above with exact match and get one result giving relative Frederick G.
This is indeed, her husband, so must be what I am looking for.

Thanks ErikaH, once again to my rescue.
This was indeed Marie Francine Gamble (nee Pinard) and Frederic Grant Gamble off to the USA just a few months after their marriage in France on 8 March 1919. I think they should have had her son Jacques Georges Noury with them.
A few months later they required US passport applications, both for Argentina, but think she was returning to France on the way. Don't think she ever made Argentina as by 1926 Fred had married again in France.

Frederic's passport application in July 1919 (below) includes Francine and Jacques, but their names have been scored out.

Attached to the passport application is a letter from Frederic's employers, The American Trading Company -.

"This is to certify that Mr Frederic G Gamble has been employed by this company in the capacity of accountant for our Buenos Aires, Argentine Office.
He is to proceed to Buenos Aires on or about August 15, 1919.
Marie Francine Gamble, wife of Mr Frederic G Gamble, desires to go to Buenos Aires via France, in order that she may get her boy and pick up her household furniture, and join her husband in South America."

Another travel record - but her name is scored out, and the words "did not sail" written on it:

Thanks for those extras ArgyllGran, had seen some but a great help.
I am going to see if there are any French census records for as you found she did not die until 1982. Most people think she had died by 1925 for in 1926 Fred married again.
In a document found he is stated to be single in 1922.

As she died under her maiden name, perhaps that indicates that they divorced or (if a RC marriage) had the marriage annulled?

Or dare I suggest Frederick remarried bigamously?
