The 1921 census may be available next year - at a cost

Or, buy certificates, as suggested above

Easy to find out if she had more children - look for births on freebmd

It's unlikely that anyone will be able to answer the question about what actually happened to her in the time between being widowed and re-marrying (if the 1921 marriage is definitely her)

A marriage and a death certificate will tell you if this is the same Esther.

Maria

Maria Report 11 Mar 2021 12:43

I am looking for information on my great grandmother Esther Hannah Hope (b.1894 d.1929)
She was born 15 Aug 1894 Clayton le Moors, Lancashire and married Charles W Kershaw in July 1915.
In January 1916 she gave birth to a son (my grandfather) Rowland Kershaw in Accrington, Lancashire
In June 1917 Charles was killed in action, and is commenorated at Menin Gate, Ypres,
I have no idea what happened to Esther after this, as Rowland was raised by an auntie Minnie and has no recolection of his mother.
I have a marriage between a Samuel Edwards and a Esther Hannah Kershaw in January 1921 in Blackburn
The next record i have is a death of a Esther Hannah Edwards in Preston in 1929
I am looking for some help in finding out what happened to her after her first husband died and where she lived, did she have any more children and why did she disapear
